About Me

Hello! My name is Guilherme, but you can call me just Gui =)

I am a student from Brazil who’s been doing an Erasmus program in the Czech Republic since feb/2023. Traveling frequently since I was 17 in my country, I love how these experiences have the super power to make us grow, expand our confort zones and learn from the most different situations and people. It's probably the thing i love to do most in life, including making international friends.

I also like be a host, but since I've been living in a students dorms, it’s not the best conditions to receive someone, although still possible. Nevertheless, I’ve been traveling around Europe as much as I can while I’m here and if I’m asking for a couch, know that I would really be a honor to be a guest at your house, because this kind of trust and kindness is sacred to me, and I think this is a type of approach that should be reciprocal in our CS community.

I'm a easy person to live with, someone who believes in multicultural coexistence, non-violent communication and that life is made not just to know thy-self, but also to have fun!!! I'm also a Yoga Teacher, an amateur cook and a guitar/flute player, and do offer these abilities for being used in the best ways. So I think that's a bit about me, thanks for reading! I hope you'll see you :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to help people travel in an alternative, safe, spontaneous way and do the same!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classic rock, jazz, brazilian samba and traditional regional music - would love to hear what's traditional on your country! A book I love is the Unbearable lightness of Being by Milan Kundera and a movie is Fight Club.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two 10 days silent Vipassana retreats. They're intense and enlightening.

Also done a three months long trip on the 2023 summer around Europe (from Portugal to Bulgaria), with a lot of fun stories between yoga classes, car crashes, hospitals, missing boats and great encounters - particularly with couchsurfing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn about anything, really. If it's new for me, I'm in. But I can confidently teach begginer to advanced yoga and some guitar while we spend time together if you want! Maybe some brazilian portuguese? ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

In a nutshell: nice chats, laughter, music, good food and an open heart always.
