Overview
About Me
I come from a low income family in the Southeast of Brazil. Got a scholarship when I was 15 to study at a good school and since then I’ve been doing social work and research to structurally reduce inequalities and improve education in the country. A part of my work has also been dedicated to supporting low income LGBTQIAP+ students.
Art is also a really important part of my life. I love ballet, all types of music and going to museums. Really curious about different types of human expressions.
I’m now a law student doing my last year between France and Mexico. My research is focused on socioeconomic history of Brasil, so I’m really into macroeconomics, philosophy, development theory and transdisciplinarity.
I plan to become a university professor and diplomat in the future.
At this moment I’m backpacking Europe and I would love to connect with locals :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on a full scholarship back home, but it doesn’t cover the costs of my traveling. I’m staying in a few hostels during this period but it does add up, so I’d love to save some money through Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
Really into classical music: was a ballet dancer and violinist for a couple of years. Apart from that, really into techno, Brazilian funk, jazz and pop
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 16 I spent one month in the south ofJapan (Kagoshima) doing a philosophy and arts summer course. I had a full scholarship to attend and created a crowdfunding campaign to pay for the flights. I also sold soaps my grandma made to help with daily costs.
I was all by myself, on a 24 hour flight journey, and then met people from all of the world in this course. It was quite transformative and showed me I could go anywhere I wanted in the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m always happy to teach the languages I speak fluently (Portuguese, English, French and Spanish); share my perspectives on world history
What I Can Share with Hosts
My perspectives on world politics; crítics to capitalism; anticapitalism strategies for a better world; global south epistemologies; life and politics in Brazil; conversations about life
