About Me
CURRENT MISSION: Living the dream of travelling around the World without plans or deadlines!
Hello everyone,
I'm funny and friendly Brazilian guy who enjoys travelling, meeting new people and enjoy life in many different ways.
After getting redundant on my previous job I've decided to leave everything behind and accomplish my dream of travelling around the world, living and working on many different countries without any return ticket.
For me travelling is not just about visiting important landmarks and taking pictures, actually is about meeting new people, understanding different cultures, learning new languages, making friends everywhere and exchange travel and life experiences.
Long story short (by May 2017): So far I successfully managed to travel and live in a campervan in New Zealand for 5 months, lived and worked in Queenstown (New Zealand) for a whole year, travelled independently in Papua New Guinea for nearly two months, travelled and worked in Australia for 6 months, hitched a sailing boat around the South Pacific for 3 months, travelled across Southeast Asia for 8 months including a 5 weeks work for accommodation experience in a hostel in Thailand and also explored the Nepali Himalayas and busy Indian cities. Now it is time for European adventures!
Live the dream instead of dream the life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy everything on Couchsurfing really: the basic host/surf definition, discussion groups, random meet ups, amazing unique events and weekly meeting/parties/gatherings.
I was a very active member on Vitória (my home city in Brazil) CS community, joining most of the weekly meetings and showing my city around to anyone willing to know it better, but I didn't have a chance to host or surf back in the day.
As my big travel project has begun, I've had a chance to host 70+ people in the beautiful town of Queenstown, down in the south island of New Zealand, and also host the "CS weekly drinks" there, all between 2014-2015.
Now I'm using my collected Karma points to surf on as many couches as I can.
Couchsurfing is one of the most important resources on my RTW trip!
Interests
I don't like to limit my interests but anything related to travel (obviously), heavy metal, tattoos, beers, motorcycles, cooking and adrenaline pumping activities can get my attention longer than 10 minutes.
But wait...that's the old me!
Long term travels can change people and I am no exception. I've been learning and enjoying so many different things throughout my travels that it would be impossible to list them here. Just ask me!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Independent and alternative movies ( including Tarantino's, Guy Ritchie's and Coen Brother's) and any other movie that makes me think outside the box.
Music: The old but gold rock n' roll and its derivations (with a big YAY!
to Heavy, Thrash and Death Metal \m/ ! )
Books: Everything that takes me to another place or time, but I also enjoy some political and historical themes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
> A 5-day hiking in Torres del Paine, Chilean Patagonia;
> Left home and not looked back;
> Travelling in a campervan around New Zealand for 5 months;
> Being a CS meeting organizer in Queenstown, New Zealand;
> Hitching a 41ft sailing yacht across the Pacific Ocean for 3 months;
> Hiking the Annapurna circuit in Nepal for 12 days;
Teach, Learn, Share
I think we shouldn't keep any knowledge to ourselves, cause life is all about sharing experiences and build a better world for everyone.
I'd love to teach anything I know, from languages and photography to sailing and engineering practical skills, as I might want to learn something from you as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Deep and thoughtful conversations, travel and life tips and advises, a good laugh, some interesting stories and a very nice meal (yes, I can cook!).
