Hello there!
I'm Guillaume i'm French yet I live in quebec city CA for my studies. I'm in mechanical engineering, at the moment finishing my 2nd year. when I'm not studying I enjoy making photography, hang out in the city with friends and having a nice dinner possibly arranged a little glass of wine. I also like going to the gym but what I spend most of my free time on is my student project!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here to meet people confront myself with different cultures because i think that going out of my confort zone by meeting people from abroad is one of the best way to learn from them and there a more open minded person. I am also planning on visting Japan this summer so if I can start a conversation here we could maybe get along and meet there! What I seek the most in this platorm is to be more than just a tourist, like I actually would like to see what it's like life in your country and not just being one more tourist, cause for me travelling is not being in all included with a catalog of activities to do there. I want to be put out of my confort zone!

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge fan of indie rock like Arcade fire, MGMT Foals or Interpol I've seen Arcade fire in concert, twice (ahah) but my musical universe is more than that! I do enjoy classical music as well with a slight preference for Chopin and Rachmaninof, I listen to reggae , punk rock and jazz as well! I would be more than glad to tell you more and show me your musical tastes!
regarding Book i've read a couple. I did enjoy l'étranger from Albert Camus, La voie Royale from André Malraux or «notes from the underground»(not sure of the translation ) from Dostoievsky. But I also like poetry like Rimbaud or Dylan Thomas. I also read a bunch of mangas so yeah to be short I like reading ahaha . Oh and LOTR OF COURSE MY PRECIOUS.

Concerning movies I like all styles but beware I know all the Lord of the rings by heart! same thing with Star Wars ahaha. yet my favorite of all times would be interstellar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent an entire Month across Europe with my student project to do some competitions! our project was to entirely design and build an electric race car! (the project's called Formula SAE of laval univesity go check it out!)
so we had two competitions one in germany on the famous Hockenheim ring and an other in Hungary! that was one of my best life exprience. Like traveling accros Europe while doing something I love !

Teach, Learn, Share

I am fluent in both French and English! so I can help you out learning it! I am also student in engineering so if I can help your sibblings/ children with math I can help hahah. Oh and if you're interested in Photography I can show you how to use a reflex camera and a film one or we could just walk the city with our cameras !
I'm now learning Japanese so if you speak japanese you've got a bunch to tell me ahahha .

What I Can Share with Hosts

What i'd love to is basically to have friends to be simple ahaha I just want to be treated like a normal person not a guest or vistor but more like a friend! I really hope that we would keep contact even after our first meeting via couchsurfing !
