About Me

I'm a 26 years old french man.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My brother, Florent (who is a bear, therefore awesome) told me about this website and its concept, which i immediatly liked and approved.

The thing is, the more i age, the more i want to go out of my home and discover new places and people around the world. It seems so vast and beautiful !

Interests

Arts, science, history, there is a lot of things i'm interested about.
My hobbies are playing bass and electric guitars, (i'm a rock music fanatic - though i like to play others things -) video games, reading (a lot), daydreaming (a lot, too. Sometimes too much.), and playing airsoft.

Music, Movies, and Books

Woaw, there's a whole bunch of bands i could mention. But the most important and influential to me are : Noir Désir, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, but also singles artists like Sting, Louis Armstrong, James Brown, or even totally classical artists like Chopin, Lully, Mozart. My musical tastes are very eclectic...and sometimes paradoxal. But i deal with it. :P

About books, i have a passion for the writers of the 19th century : Hugo, Maupassant, Zola, Dumas...
I have to admit that i don't read enough of non-french books. And it's kind of sad, because i loved Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, along with other books by Hunter S. Thompson. I've also red Kafka, Primo Levi, Dino Buzzati, Poe, Arthur Conan Doyle. And also, i'm a huge fan of Robert van Gulik who wrote the amazing detective series The judge Dee. (i highly recommend it to you to read it)

Regarding to movies, now...i don't have a particular preference. It depends on my mood, on the context, and that defines wether i like it or not. The latest slap (in the good meaning) i received was The Wolf of Wall Street. Literally jaw-dropping.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One night, softly partying with friends (aka, chatting, smoking and sipping beer around a table), the legs of the Ikea chair i was sitting on just collapsed, in a way that made me fall in a perfectly straight and silent motion. Anyway, too much surprised to react, i did not scream or drop the beer i was sipping.
Nope, good people, i just stood quietly on what was left of my poor chair. I've always been told that even we you fall, you have to do it like a Sir. In France, we call this panache. A very old word used for guts or balls. Anyway...
It took at least ten minutes for my friends to notice what happened, when they realized that the top of my head had significantly decreased in height, ya see what i mean... ?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some good jokes, amazing stories, and everything interesting i know. I love to tell tales and entertain people !

I will of course lend my hands for the chores.

Countries I’ve Visited

Germany, Italy, United Kingdom
