About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Always look on the bright side of life (Whistle "Life of Brian" ending tune)

ABOUT ME
Erm, kinda quirky I suppose, in a nice way.

PHILOSOPHY
Wow, that's a tough one. Here goes...
I tend to think you've got to live fully everything that happens to you, be it good or bad. I'll leave it there I start rambling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I go places and meet people, and when they feel adventurous enough I cook. I hosted for 3 years but have now moved to a smaller place, making it difficult to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in a few places already as an underground, unofficial member, and then as a surfer. I hosted for a while, but as I said my place in Scotland is now pretty small and crowded with flatmates.

It's like cooking, every time is different and surprising (which may not be very reassuring for you ;-p)!

Interests

Music!!!
And Nature, wilderness, beasties, rocks and plants!!
And outside stuff in general, like wild camping, and hiking...
And meeting fun and interesting people. Everything new and a bit unusual.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any movie that makes you feel something inside, whether it's warm, happy, fun, strange, uncomfortable, moved...

Celtic music is my first love, but I like anything that makes you want to tap your feet or dance. Recently moving to playing blues/rock/bluegrass.

Sherlock Holmes, a complete and utter favourite. Other than that, I tend to read up to five books at a time and get a bit confused.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Playing gigs and jams! It's a wonder every time.
Seeing the Amazon's mouth from the plane before arriving in French Guyana. First time across the Atlantic, can't forget that.

Teach, Learn, Share

Languages and traditional cultures. I know some stuff about Celtic cultures and would be glad to learn about others.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

England, France, Scotland
