ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Guillaume, I'm an easy going, positive person. Travelling has been a great source of growth and enrichment for me. I like to discover how people live in their own ways, with their own habits, traditions and cultures.

I work as a 3d artist in the animation industry. Making movies, tv series... It's really nice! I enjoy it a lot. I'm usually very happy to go to work.

I can be curious about nearly everything. My main hobbys are :
Tennis. I usually play tennis 3 times a week.
Music. I play guitar and I'm learning traversal flute. I listen to lots of different style of music.
Hiking and snowboarding. I've spent a few years in the french alps as a seasonal worker. Since then I've develop a strong passion for mountains, especially hiking and snowboarding.
Comic books/graphic novels. I can easily spend hours in a comic book shop.
I have a strong interest in science and astronomy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in Sweden and Italy. I felt very welcome, I had good time there!

Interests

I love every aspects of animation, and the processes to make it happen. Nowadays I feel very attracted by stop motion and classic animation.

I listen to various styles of music (from blues, rock, hip hop to gipsy, swing, house, techno...). I've been playing guitar for 10 years, and I'm learning traversal flute because I like the sound of it and I want to make music with my mouth from my "voice/inside".

I love to walk and hike in the nature. In my usual day life, I try to avoid transportation and walk instead.

I'm a big fan of tennis. I love how this sport combines aethletics with dexterity, extreme focusing, strategy, mental challenge... I like the challenge that it takes to improve in tennis. I usually play 3 times a week + playing competitions.

I've recently discovered astronomy, I've got a small telescope, this is amazing!

I enjoy listening to stories, fun facts, crazy projects that sound impossible, amazing people making crazy projects. I enjoy sharing a coffee, a beer, a dinner and get to know peoples.
I like eating and cooking :)

Music, Movies, and Books

The more music i can listen to, the better!

I don't read that many books, but really enjoy those from Haruki Murakami.
Instead I read a lot of comic books :) I can easily spend hours in a comic book shop. Authors that I like the most are : Enki Bilal, Taniguchi, de Crécy, Riad Sattouf, Lewis Trondheim, Jacques Tardi, and many others.

About movies, I'm a big fan of Wes Anderson, the Coen brothers, Michel Gondry, Tim Burton, Tarantino, Michel Audiard, old style Disney movies.
