About Me

Hi!
We're Martin and Guillaume and we're sharing this account as we're planning a trip together. We're temporarily borrowing this account from one of our friends because the trip is less than 10 days . We've known each other for five years now and are very good friends. Martin will introduce himself first, then it's my turn.

Hello, I'm Martin !
I'm 23 and I came from Lyon, France. Currently, I am finishing my 5-year engineering master's degree in Paris. I study grid energy and especially grid electricity.
But above all, I am a sport lover. My family gave me the taste of the effort. I play football, badminton, tennis, table tennis and I run, ski, yoga, surf and of course I bike. Recently I start to play spikeball (roundnet), it will be a pleasure to present you the sport.
I also like to play card, board games, it will be a pleasure to discover some !
I like chalenges and I thought that going to Cophenaguen as quick as possibel only with human energy was quite cool :). I also want to have low carbon holiday and taking the bike is the best option to do it !
I like to discuss with people and discover new culture, new traditions, new thought patterns. I think that meetings between 2 cultures can bring a lot of benefit while societies lock themselves in on them.

My turn ! So I am Guillaume (William in English) from Grenoble in France. I am a fit, energetic and active 24 years old and in the end of my 5 years engineering degree. I would define myself as a curious person, hard-worker and open-minded person. I am always up for new adventures and meeting new people.

Actually, my mother, a maths teacher, and my father, a cycling fan, gave me an education that was both scientific and sporting. I spent my weekends on the mountain slopes, on skis or on a bike.I love scientific subjects and I am currently studying at CentraleSupélec, an enginerring university in Paris and I will encounter my end-of-studies internship in the field of energy. Last year I decided to travel and experience new things. I packed my bags and left for two six-month internships, one in Sydney and the other in Munich. These experiences, rich in emotions, encounters and discoveries, made me want to do it again.

I love outdoor activities. Cycling, stretching and hitting the gym are my hobbies and I enjoy playing for fun with friends.

Recently, I took my guitare out of my attic and I'm currently trying to play again. I also enjoy playing board games whenever I have the chance or reading a new book. When it comes to food, I love to cook and eat delicious meals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Before we start our end-of-studies internship we'd like to challenge ourselves and travel at the same time. From mid-April we'll be taking a ten-day cycle trip from Paris to Copenhagen. The aim is to meet up with two friends who are staying there, but also to meet new people along the way. We'd be delighted to stop off at your place, chat over a meal that we could certainly cook and sleep on anything you have for us!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We took part in the French national spikeball tournament. We won't spoil it for you, but it was great fun and if you're not familiar with the game, we'll be happy to explain it to you!
