ABOUT ME

I'm from Trois-Rivières, Québec and I'm 23. I'm a musician, I studied cello and playing guitar for fun! My English is pretty good: I don't have any communication problems!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is like knitting: you must enjoy the journey instead of the result, otherwise you spend most of your life waiting!

And my philosophy when I'm travelling is that there is no better way to get the vibe of a place then to be host by local people... Youth hostels are nice but to me it feels pretty much the same everywhere :-/

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm using it mostly as a traveller for now... of course, one day I will give back all this beautiful generosity in the couchsurfing community!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In july 2014, I met a guy in a bus at midnight after the last day of a folk fest in Vancouver, Canada. We start discussing and I say to him I was going to leave Vancouver because youth hostels were too expensive for me to stay longer. After a 5 minutes chat, I had the surprise he invites me to crash on his couch for a few days :P That's how I discovered couchsurfing and I enjoy it since this time. The guy I met is now my couchsurfing friend : Forest Borch!

Music: Classical composers from the 20th century.
(Igor Stravinsky, Manuel de Falla, Gaspar Cassado, Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel... there is a lot of nice stuff!)

Folk music: Angus and Julia Stone, Iron and Wine, Husky, Typhoon, The lumineers, Half Moon Run... and a lot more, of course.

Hip-hop: Michael Franti and Spearhead, Brother Ali, Biggie Smalls, Socalled...

70's: Gentle Giant, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Nick Drake, Supertramp...

Movies: I have no knowledge in cinematography, but Pulp Fiction is awesome!

I read a little bit but I wish I would read more. I had plenty of time for it when I was a kid! It's something I have to bring back in my life.

I have a pretty good knowledge in music. I know a lot of artists and enjoy trying to find bands that people would like. I also play some guitar and I really like to jam and share my knowledge with others!
