I am a Uruguayan traveling to Holland next September 20th.

I am a Philosophy student, I am 2 years away from becoming a professor
I'm also a Barman and Masseur (although I never practiced, so I only have the title haha)
I have worked for 8 years as a Croupier, (stopping to travel)

I was a host when I was in New Zealand, and today I am looking for someone who can receive me for a few days when I arrive in Amsterdam, to exchange and get to know each other a little while I do the first steps to settle in the city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started in Couchsurfing with the idea of ​​meeting new people from different places, my first experiences were as a Host, I understand that sometimes it is difficult to get to a new city, or to undertake a trip with the costs that these imply, so it seemed like a good idea to join the community in order to help people who want to travel and see the world, while I make new friends and get to know a little about the different cultures.

Comencé en Couchsurfing con la idea de conocer gente nueva de distintos lugares, mis primeras experiencias fueron como Host, entiendo que a veces es dificil llegar a una nueva ciuadad, o emprender un viaje con los costos que estos implican, por lo que me parecio una buena idea sumarme a la comunidad con el fin de poder ayudar a personas que buscan viajar y conocer el mundo, mientras me hago de nuevos amigos y conozco un poco de las diferentes culturas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Until now, the most significant experience for the community, I think, is to share with you that I have lived in New Zealand for a year, renting a house with 6 Uruguayans where we have received more than 80 people in just over 3 months, some of them went through this platform from my profile. and others from the profile of my friends, or through places other than Couchsurfing.

Sure I can't offer a good meal, because my culinary knowledge isn't great haha, but I can offer a good talk and a friendly personality looking to meet new people, have fun and share good times. Always respecting the rules of the home, and grateful for your good hospitality.
