About Me
---We are not hosting anyone right now because we are in a transition period. Not living in the same house and planning on moving to another place---
My girlfriend, Allie, and I are currently living in Valencia.
Allie is from the United States and moved to Spain a couple years ago where she started teaching english to locals. She studied Biology and, in the future, plans to study something related to health care. She's taking a break from studying, and in the meantime, is trying to know more about the culture in Spain (Sometimes, she knows more than me about Spain). She loves travelling and discovering small places in small towns, corners that are not the typical places to visit etc. She is passionate about nature, photography, craft beer, tea, reading, science, decoration etc. She likes making things with her own hands, cooking and trying food that she hasn't tried yet.
And about me, Guillermo, I am currently working at a school for students that come from US (yes, that is how we met each other ;) I started studying psychology with the idea in mind of working in something related to motivation or education.
Right now my goal is to always trying to learn something new and take advantage of everyday. You know what they say "El tiempo es oro" y "Solo se vive una vez" which mean "time is gold" and "you only live once". I like photography, sports like running, swimming or surfing and I love playing the guitar (when I have enough time).I really enjoy a night out with some beers or wine, people and good vibes!
Please let us know that you have read our profile and that we aren't just a place to sleep by mentioning "ice cream" in your request. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have heard once, receiving people from Couchsurfing at home is like travelling, and it is true, we started this because we like meeting new people and traveling to new places. I'm not saying anything new but it is true that when you meet new cultures and new customs, you start understanding things that you didn't in the past. There is a way to define this in Spanish and it's "Si te quedas en el mismo lugar te acabas estancando" what means something like if you always stay in the same place you won't evolve.
We want to travel knowing about the places from local people, and that's something we want to do as well with the people that comes to our house.

Music, Movies, and Books
We love all kinds of music (except for reggaeton) depending on the moment, but mostly Rock, Blues/Oldies.
We're kind of movie nerds so please don't be surprised that our repertoire consists of movies such as Star Wars, Pulp Fiction, Die Welle, The Lord of the Rings, The Boat that Rocked...
And of course, some series like Game of Thrones, Black Mirror, Pikie Blinders, Stranger Things, Vikings...
Poetry and short stories by Eduardo Galeano (Great Writer by the way), Edgar Allan Poe, The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein, Paul Auster, Daniel Goleman, George Orwell, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ray Bradbury, Sigmund Freud...
