About Me

Just moved to Madrid so Im a guest in my own house. I’ve crashed in my brothers couch. Not hosting for a while but happy to hangout when possible.

CURRENT MISSION

In my opinion, the best way to discover the the culture, the way of living and enjoy the country is through locals. That's why i'm in CS.
One of my 2017 challenges is to learn to dance. Salsa, Bachata, and all these stuff. I Will for sure!

ABOUT ME
Talkative and friendly. I'm quite a laid back guy, no rush but no pause. I find of special interest to meet people from other countries, show them my region, have nice conversations....spend a good time.

Non smoker!

PHILOSOPHY

Ummm....think always in a good way from the others. Which sometimes is a bit difficult.
Whatever you want to do, find the way to do it asap before your priorities change.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had some friends that host and surf for years and seemed interesting so....that’s how i started.

Interests

Sports (surf, swimming, football, basketball, tenis, snorkel, trekking, even the boring gym) when injuries allow me.
Beach and nature sports. Walks through the city and its gardens (hate big and noisy avenues).

Obviously travelling. Usually don't spend a bank holiday in town or even the country if i have few in a row.

Music, Movies, and Books

African music!!! Putumayo World Music, Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, Rosendo, rumba music (from spain), electronic base, classic rocks, hundreds... Impossible to delimitate.
I'm interested on history, in general. African culture...I’m curious!
Books: divers
Juan Salvador Gaviota (Richard Bach)
La Roca de Tanios (Amin Malouf)
Cosa Nostra (John Dickie)
The third man (Graham Greene)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing travels from island to island in a classic sailboat with excellent company that adopt us. How? Just asking: Do u mind give me a trip? They were such a nice transatlantic couple.

It comes to my mind a very nice time spent listening and chatting with 3 greek jazz musicians who used to meet during the summertime to play jam sessions as eachone were from a different greek island. (Antiparos, a very tiny cyclades island).

Chasing African elephants through the dependencies and tents of the lodge in Uganda. They appear in front while taking a drink!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like cooking but have not much time or maybe is just that i'm a bit lazy to do it alone so we can cook together with some african music.
I used to play accordeon but I forgot absolutely everything so I can't teach.
I'm good at conversation with an interesting sense of humour.
Surfing, my car, language lessons, some dancing...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Unfortunately, I just can share a couch. Big and confortable and as the flat is small just one surfer per night. Rules: be tidy, clean and put yourself in your host shoes. Common sense.
It's a fabulouse flat, with a big and beautiful park/forest 100 metres away excellent for a morning run. Big trees and a river. 15 min walking from the cathedral and old town. The city is small so I never ever use the public transport. Just walk.

Enjoy being a guide for guests.
Willing to meet new people moving into the city, turists, foreigners...
