About Me
ABOUT ME
I was born in Bogota, Colombia and lived in this beautiful corner of South America until I was 19. Since then I have lived in Sydney Australia and I am proud of my two nationalities.
I speak Spanish as my native language and love to share it with people 🇦🇺🇨🇴.
I have a very strong multicultural instinct and love to try new things and learn about people and different ways of being and knowing.
I have been fortunate to have been able to travel a bit in my life, mostly through south east Asia (where I met a lot of awesome people through CouchSurfing), Australia and the Americas. I also lived in Saskatoon, Canada for 6 months, and was fortunate enough to live in Hong Kong in 2012 during a university exchange.
My passion for places explains why I am a very enthusiastic urban planner. I love talking about cities and the relationship between people and places 🌃 .
I can be very intellectual and philosophise about the world, languages, politics, the meaning of life … other things I love are musical theatre, running, swimming, salsa dancing, in-line skating, yoga, meditation… My enthusiasm also extends to hiking and nature 🥾. I love going on long walks.
🏳️🌈
Also I’m fully COVID vaxxed :)
I took a gap year in 2022-23 which was dedicated to reconnect with old friends and family, meet new friends, do lots of hiking and learn more about myself, and the world. Probably the best year of my life and CS was a big part of it.
MISSION
I am now back at work in Sydney, but my passion for travelling hasn’t gone away. Perhaps I need another travelling gap year again soon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined CouchSurfing in 2011 when I was about to embark my first long backpacking trip. This time through south east Asia. I have made some amazing connections through couch surfing and I look forward to making more new friends.
