About Me

CURRENT MISSION

go and see

VERY CURRENT MISSION

see a whale

ABOUT ME

I love meeting people from all over the world and talking for hours (be prepared for that). I like travelling and sports and doing all kinds of fun stuff. I'm always keen to learn new and different things from what I've already seen. The best thing that could happen is that I'm being forced to give up prejudices I have.

PHILOSOPHY

I need to think of something philosophical....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm ready to show people from all over the world around (will host again when I move out of current flatshare) and sometimes participate in the local cs meetings

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed the couches of people in England in summer 2007 (see at reviews) with a friend of mine and was a regular member of Liverpool's CS group in 2008 and 2009. I've since then come to the CS meetings in Karlsruhe sometimes.

Interests

the ocean (looking at it, swimming in it, snorkeling, floating), cooking, eating, coffee, arts, music (live music makes me very happy), languages (next project: Thai), rock climbing (next project: deep water soloing), travelling, dancing salsa, drinking wine and polish wodka, politics, books (my favourite: Ian McEwan), skiing, snowboarding, surfing (i'm trying), cycling with my 80s bike (her name is Erna) around town, jumping from pretty much everything into water (I recently learned how to do a backflip), the Beatles, crochet, origami, sewing (e.g. my new camera bag)
Recently I've become a huge fan of geckos!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of good films (bonnie and clyde, thelma and louise, back to the future, gran torino) apart from horror films (!). I like crime stories and stories with a serious background, i love Ian McEwan's books. I'm into alternative music, singer songwriter and rock but I listen to many kinds of good music especially when I go out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

everything is worth seeing, but if you must know, holding a sea urchin was pretty amazing. i guess i enjoy the little things such as being tickled by their little feet.

Teach, Learn, Share

could teach almost everything I know, as a trained barista I can make very good espresso

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to share some of my cooking skills in exchange for new recipes

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
