I’m Gulis, originally from Istanbul, Turkey, currently living in Helsinki. I’ve been living abroad for several years now, and each place has shaped me in a different way. I lived in Lisbon for a while, spent a year in South Carolina in the US, did my Erasmus in Riga, and also had the chance to live in Iceland. Now Helsinki is my current home (for now 😊).
I work in travel, so exploring new places is not just a passion but also part of my life. What I enjoy the most is meeting people from different cultures, hearing their stories, and sharing meaningful experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a soft spot for movies that stay with you long after they end think Pulp Fiction, The Silence of the Lambs, A Clockwork Orange, Mulholland Drive, Zodiac, and Nightcrawler. (and yes, the list can go on forever).
I’m especially into the worlds of Quentin Tarantino and Stanley Kubrick the kind of storytelling that makes you think a little deeper.
Music-wise, Daft Punk has a special place in my heart. I take my playlists seriously.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built a life across different countries, living in the US, Portugal, Latvia, Iceland, and now Finland.
Each place changed me in a different way, and I’m still curious about what’s next.
