Hello, everyone. My name is Gulnara. I'm from Azerbaijan. I graduated from the journalism faculty of Baku State University. Now I live and work in Lithuania. We are 2 people at our home. My flatmate is from Turkey. She is a really cute and funny girl. We speak at home in 4 languages, and always plan some new trips.
Actually, I don't know how I can describe myself. :) I'm a sociable person and always try to learn new something which I have never known before. I worked as a photographer and videographer and now I want to improve my skills and knowledge. I like cooking, watching movies, playing the piano, and my favorite one is learning foreign languages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm only a few months in Europe. That's why I want to travel and see many places in different countries and cities. And during these travels, I want to get new friends from there. Because new people mean a new culture, a new language, and new traditions.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'm so addicted to movies and music. Till today, I watch more than 200 movies from different genres and different languages. My favorite movie is Leon(The Professional). I don't like to watch fantastic and horror movies anymore.

Music: I have music education (piano class) for 5 years, that's why music is another world for me. I really like and enjoy to listen to hip-hop and classical music. Even, I listened to some hip-hop music on the classical works.

Books: I'm not a bookaholic person. But I read some valuable books. I can mention 2 favorite books of mine: They're "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, and "Kite Rinner" by Khaled Hossaini. I also watch movies from both books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I shot a promotional video and some short movies on my phone "iPhone 5s". Directing, editing, music, subtitles and etc. all belonged to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: As you read I have many interests and that's why you can choose some of them, and I can help and advise you. I can cook national Azerbaijanian foods and I can give interesting information about my country. And also, I can teach you piano and some words from different languages that I know.

Learn: It will be good for me, learn new something about your culture and yourself.

Share: I can share with you my chocolates. :)
