** I was laid off of work in April 2020 and have been solo travelling the USA in my 2012 Ford Fusion ever since! Finally explored all 50 states :) . Won’t be able to host until I find a place to land for a bit but excited to get back into hosting and surfing. **

ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is Gül but my friends call me Rose (mainly because they can't pronounce my name and Gül translates into Rose). I was born and raised in Rize, Turkey until we moved to the states in 2001. After graduating from college, I dedicated two years for traveling as a team leader and providing national community service with AmeriCorps NCCC and fell in love. Within my two years, I've assisted in program development, helped build homes for migrant families and build educational trails for youth in CA, helped maintain hiking trails in WA, worked as a wildland firefighter in AZ, and helped support a community garden in OR, among other adventures.

I love meeting new people, exchanging worldviews, philosophies and cultures. I am a huge fan of going with the flow and figuring what adventures to go on along the way. Let's get together and share experiences, good food and some laughs.

Movies: I love movies! I can watch anything and everything (minus musicals). My roommate really likes musicals so I am trying!

Music: When it comes to music I am a fan of country, indie, hip-hop, reggae, classical... it all depends on my mood. Currently, I’ve been listening to Spanish music because I would like to learn more Spanish and eventually be conversational.

-I was a wild land firefighter for 6 months in AZ.
-I've had the honor of hosting some incredible humans.
-Went out to buy a car, came back home with a motorcycle.
