About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To never stop having a mission! (or just teach that bloody parrot some new swear words)

ABOUT ME

UPDATE:
Currently living in Sydney, AUS, and will be there until late 2014 at least. Always open for meetups and such though!

I´m an emergency nurse living in downtown Reykjavík. I work long hours, but try to use my spare time to work out, go for a walk/drive in the mountains, party with friends and do the best of my spare time. I live in a small apartment with 2 couches, and also there´s a 7 year old African Grey parrot living with me. I´ve traveled a little myself, to places including Palestine, Australia, Brazil, Haiti and so on. Interested in hosting interesting people from all around the world and if possible, maybe show them a little around Reykjavík and it´s surroundings.

I do have a modified Jimny (see pictures) which can take me pretty much anywhere, so taking people on short mountain trips is always an option (if road/trail conditions allow), if help with gas is provided

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short, and (un)fortunately it ends one day (who would want to live forever anyway?;) lol ). So live your life as it was a rollercoaster ride, and when you get to the end of it you want to look back and say ,,FUCK YEAH! That was one hell of a ride!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

love hosting, haven´t surfed myself - yet

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve hosted some people at my place for 1 up to 7 nights. Sometimes I´ve had the chance to take them around town, go cave exploring, check out some pretty locations with them or go partying with, but sometimes I´ve only been able to see them for a short period of time when I´m not working. Most awesome day was though eith one cs-er when we first went to Þingvellir national park, went cave exploring in Leiðarendi lava tube, took a jeep tour behind lake Kleifarvatn and ended the day with an awesome night out in downtown Reykjavík

Interests

Nursing, partying, working out, hiking, hunting (goose, ducks, ptarmygans etc..), movies, music and just about anything that occupies my life at any given moment

Music, Movies, and Books

Watch: A clockwork orange, full metal jacket, the imaginarium of dr. Parnassus, life aquatic with Steve Zissou, etc etc etc. A movie addict I am, some would say..Read: Internet mostly, lol. Also Coelho, Laxness, and whatever i stumble upon.Listen to: Tom waits, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen - the holy trinity. Used to be, and still am, into metal/hardcore/punk.. Love all sorts of acoustic music, classical music, jazz, blues, dubsteb and pretty much anything that makes my head bob at any given time

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lying on the top of a mountain/viewpoint in Petra, Jordan - with a bunch of friends who worked with me in Palestine and a group of random Beduins. Being high on life and happy for 2 days straight at that place with the beduins chanting the whole time was yeah - amazing?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to make Icelandic pancakes? Also, my parrot can teach you how to swear and beg for peanuts in Icelandic^^

Countries I’ve Visited
