ABOUT ME

I'm 25 and I'm studying for a PhD in maths in Grenoble. Aside from maths I really like music, traveling and meeting new people, writing things, reading novels, and in general enjoying and criticising pop culture. I hope that through CS I can meet some people who share some of those interests.

PHILOSOPHY

Have fun and remember to breathe, everything else will follow naturally.

That's the old one. I guess it still applies, but my personal philosophy is moving towards shades of existentialism and absurdism. One of these days I'll sit down and figure it out.

Well, math, music, guitar and bass playing, going out, reading novels, writing, very nerdy things like Linux, and complex analysis, which is often misunderstood as nerdy while it's actually quite sexy and cool.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've gone bungee jumping at midnight in the rain, moved to a country where I didn't speak the language, fought with tomatoes in Spain, seen a star with a planet in orbit around it, and learned to appreciate Fernet Branca.

Teach, Learn, Share

At all times, there is a point of the surface of the Earth such that the air pressure and temperature there is the same as on the exact other side of the Earth.

This may very well be the only practical application of topology and its mention will grant you instant favor with mathematicians. If you can't be bothered to remember that, just say you're into short exact sequences.
