About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Graduating with as little effort as possible.

ABOUT ME

Hello! I am Gunther and I am 24 years old. I currently teach 6th grade English in Philadelphia.

I love music, movies, and books. I play guitar and a bit of cello and piano (although I'm not very good at any of them). I read quite a bit and watch a pretty lot of movies. I think I see more movies in theaters than the average person. I also love food. Cooking, and preparing but primarily consuming! If you are ever in town send me a message and I can tell you some pretty great places to eat or just take you there myself!

PHILOSOPHY

"I have tried in my time to be a philosopher, but-I don't know how-cheerfulness was always breaking in" James Boswell

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to host and show people around the great city of Philadelphia. I don't get to travel much because of school but I feel that this is a great way to experience the world from my own apartment!

Interests

I love to read, watch movies, and just generally try to have a good time. I love Philadelphia sports and I play soccer and run in my free time. I want to meet new people and get to see as much of the world as I possibly can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the bands The Pixies, Look Mexico, Minus the Bear, Brand New and many others.
Reading is my favorite hobby. I will read anything from Jane Austen to a science fiction book. There is nothing like sitting down for and extended relaxing read. I think my favorite book of all time would have to be the Sun Also Rises Ernest Hemingway. I also really enjoy Kurt Vonnegut, Margaret Atwood and a bunch of others.
I'll watch pretty much any movie except horror movies, I just can't stand them. I think my favorite movie ever would have to be The Good the Bad and the Ugly, or Blues Brothers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When i was in high school me and my brother hiked up the Angel's Landing Trail in Zion National park. It was one of the greatest times of my life and something I will never forget.

Countries I’ve Visited
