ABOUT ME

My name is Gurpreet and I am currently a dental student at UCLA, working towards dual degree and potentially specializing in the future. I am not good at talking about myself but some things about me and who I am:

I've been living in LA for the past two years, before that I lived in Palo Alto for a year and Redwood City for another year while working at Stanford. Aside from those short changes I've lived in the OC while growing up.

Thinking back to when I was on my interview trail, one of the common things that came up in my dental school interviews was my desire to be involved with my community and my presence here stems from that as well.

Happy to host anyone who is visiting town for a few days or coming for an interview at UCLA! I know it can be a difficult and draining time to be on the interview trail from state to state.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Traveled across the U.S. on a road trip with my best friend from Boston to L.A. and had the opportunity to be hosted by two amazing people in Nashville and in Dallas.

I have also stayed with a few individuals while I was doing interviews for my dental school admission and I am so grateful to all of them for allowing me to crash with them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: tends to go with the mood but mostly into indie, pop, alternative, rock

Movies: the most recent movie I've seen is Logan...as far as favorite movies are concerned, some of the ones that I can watch over and over again would have to be: Gladiator, Bourne series, Departed, Inception, M.I.B.
