Overview
About Me
I am currently a Law student at the University of Pretoria. I am passionate about music and wide open spaces (Namibia). Traveling has always been a big part of my upbringing and continues to be a big part of my life. I play: the guitar, percussion, violin (like a dying cat) and recorder (as all second graders do). I enjoy farms (even the labor that goes with it) and believe that as Timothy Leary describes (minus the drug use), that the sharing of space-time with fellow humans is one of the greatest human things and is the way to shape change and a better world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friend has had great experiences and I prefer sharing my experiences with others and intend on having many such experiences. In honesty cost as well. Being a student, this will allow me to see much more of the world, in youthful wonder, and hopefully with new mates (friends) who can come see my neck of the woods as well (Namibia) after having shared theirs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A friend of ours had a gyrocpter on the farm we were staying at for the weekend. He allowed me to fly with him and even instructed me so I could take over for a few minutes. I was flying a gyrocopter in the desert and hovered over a herd of Oryx. It was done high enough, though, that they remained unaware of us and so we followed them for a while from the vantage point of the copter. After this I went walking (this was sort of on our family friends farm) and came across a Cheetah in the river bed a few hundred meters on. I squatted down (cheetah's are not to be so feared as they are very frightened by humans) and it did not notice me. Eventually it came probably as close as less than a hundred meters and I could see him/her very clearly. These two things (coupled with a good "braai" [barbecue]) made it one of my best and most special weekends.
