Overview
About Me
My name is Gustav. I’m 20 years old and currently live in Elsinore, Denmark.
In June last summer, I graduated from Sankt Annæ Gymnasium, where I have spent 3 years studying international social science (Social science level A, English level A and Mathematics level B). Therefore I am skilled in both speaking and writing in danish as well as in english. Because of Sankt Annæ Gymnasium is a school, which major focus is music, i am a person with the ability to teach and play music.
Since September 2015 i’ve been working as a substitute teacher, and has been teaching kids from the age of 6 to the age of 16. Besides teaching i have been social educator for kids with special needs, such as ADD, asperger’s disorder and mistreat at home. The work primarily been focusing on giving the kids a normal day and friends to play with.
When i reached New Year 2016, i started to search for new challenging tasks to work with, therefore i now work at a orphanage in Hornbeak, Denmark. The place is a home for children without parents or who has been forcibly removed. The primary duties is to make the children feel safe and create domestic and secure conditions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I desire to travel far away before I start any education.
It's important for me that my trips are filled with anti-luxurious, so i get to experience the culture through the people. Therefore i hope to meet a lot of you out there!
I have always loved travelling since I discovered how life sometimes can be resumed by a simple kind of boring routine.
I am not looking either for comfort but for local social sharing experience, not only question of money but I found it much more relevant.
Interests
My biggest pursuit in life is to spend time with the ones I care about. This is friends and family, but nevertheless a complete stranger greeting me on the streets.
As mentioned before I am also a music enthusiast. I love to play and listen to any kind of music, regardlessly the genre.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can't pick one favorite musician, it depends on mood and temperature
My favorite movie at the time is one called ''Hector and Search for Happiness'', and i will not go into any details why this is so.
At last my favorite book must be ''Harry Potter and the Deadly Hollows'', this may be because i really don't like to read, but one summer my parents forced me to read something in my summer holiday. Apparently they thought I was the only kid who didn't read through the holiday.
I was really good though...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't know if it's amazing, but might bring a smile to your face.
One morning on my way to school, i sat in the train waiting for it to leave. I had one hour to school every morning, so it was early and I was too tired to think or do anything.
The next thing that happened was a man entering the train wagon. He was one of those alcoholic homeless people everybody had seen in the townscape. Immediately the train began to smell like a mixture of urine, old socks and hangovers.
I was listening to a good old-fashioned Pink Floyd that morning, and I really like to rock my head like this when i'm in the right mood, as I was that morning: http://giphy.com/gifs/WfaPTSgURqgOA
The man noticed and approached me with a question like: ''What are you listening to?''
I really wanted to say Taylor Swift, because i was so tired and just wanted to sleep, but instead i said ''Pink Floyd, Dark side of the moon''.
He looked at me with big eyes, and instantly sat down with me. We had a great conversation about good, old, bad, new music. He told me about his life and how he had ended where he was.
The funny thing about the story and what i thought was interesting: The man sat with a open beer without taking one sip through the whole trip, because he was too busy telling stories and listening to me asking questions about his former rock n' roll life.
He was in really bad shape, because of addiction to alchohol but i saw him a half year later walking the train station, which was pretty nice to see.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you danish, not that you ever are going to need it, but i can !
If you want to learn guitar i can teach you that too.
I like to discuss social science as well, but i prefer to have a good relation rather than being right.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I hope to share good and long (until you get enough and wants to sleep) conversations about everything we both can relate to.
I believe I posses some kind of humor, so maybe I will be able to make you laugh. I will give it a try anyway.
For all I know, i will definitely not be a burden or someone you are looking forward to get rid of!
Hope to hear from you !
