Overview
About Me
My name is Gustavo Facincani Dourado and I'm 30. I moved to the US in July of 2019, to start a PhD in California. I'm living in Merced (known as the gateway to Yosemite National Park). Unfortunately I can't welcome you in the house I'm living, as it's shared with other grad students and the decision doesn't depend only on me.
I'm curious, communicative, creative, easygoing, outgoing...
I'm very interested in knowing new people, new culture, new places... traveling it's one of the things I like most!
New experiences are always welcome, and in a trip I think you leave a bit of yourself wherever you go, and also carry a little bit of the world with you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I came to know it by the orientation of some friends.
I already used couchsurfing 2 times in South Korea, 2 times in the Philippines, 1 time in Thailand, 2 times in Brazil, 1 time in Canada and 1 time in the US.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like comedy, action, adventure movies, pop/pop rock music, haven't had the chance to read much besides my PhD stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think it's the experience of living abroad.
I lived abroad twice before graduating and one more time in my grad studies.
The first one was by an exchange program in Argentina, that even being a country next to Brazil, it has already lots of differences. I enjoyed so much, that even I was about to graduate, I applied for one more exchange program, a totally different one, in the other side of the world... South Korea! I stayed in both countries for 5 months, doing internships/studying and traveling around!
The third one was in Canada, for 6 months.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach something about languages, about Brazil/South America, about Agronomy, drawing, painting...
I can learn any kind of things.
