About Me

I'm a really simple guy; give me something beautiful to look at and legs to walk closer and I'm pretty much satisfied. No, but really, I study Urbanism and Architecture, so most of the time when you see me in a new city I'm looking up and down constantly, weird as that may look.

You can probably guess that from my studies, but I love cities and their atmosphere, and I love seeing the way they blend with the nature that surrounds them. I also love learning how different people see life and the world in different ways. This last one is something I enjoy deeply. In a way it actually means that I love people and how they live (even if sometimes it may not look like it, people tell me I make angry faces even when I'm not angry haha).

I'm somewhat of a hedonist; I have things I'm committed to doing, sure, but while I'm not able to do them I try to live without regrets, being open to new experiences, enjoying life day by day and making sure I'm always able to say I lived my best.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I never couchsurfed before signing up, so for me signing up was really about trying a different way of experiencing a journey, meeting new people and, as a bonus, save some money!

I find that most of the time life can compensate you if you just leave things up to her; the best of my experiences were all unplanned. This is also why I think couchsurfing can be really fun; both sides never really know what they signed up for until arrival time, and yeah, even then it's usually too little time for people to know each other deeply, but sometimes only the glimpse of a different lifestyle can become a memory you can't forget even if you tried.

I have a home in Rotterdam, though not for long, and one in Florianópolis, Brazil. If you don't know it, look it up! All I can say is: more than 40 beaches on a single island.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love pretty weird genres. Math rock and post rock, ambient, jazz and dark jazz, nils frahm (that guy is pretty much his own genre, really). But recently electronic music began to grow up on me. I'm listening to a lot of deep house, witch house, almost anything with a beat, actually, but my preferences always lay with the dark side - the deeper the music, the better!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave up on pressuring myself to be someone I admired and started to live with less weight on my shoulders.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love knowledge. One of the things that fires me up the most is seeing someone talking about something you can see they really love. It can be anything, really, if I see the love then I'm instantly all ears; I've learned a whole lot of things this way, and sometimes even learned to love them.

I know some stuff, just enough to be able to make good conversations (I was not that good socially, so I had to have something up my sleeve!), and if we talk about music or science I may get excited (though not only music and science, if I'm honest).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a home wherever I'm living and help if you need accomodation anywhere, but specially Brazil.
