About Me

After dedicating years to relentless study and work, I finally made a bold decision: to take a break and get to know myself better. Since I believe that our relationship with the world and the people around us shapes who we are, I decided to take on an exciting challenge: to travel, meet new people, and experience incredible things.

I am Brazilian, born in the central region of the country where northern and southern cultures merge in a true melting pot. My family has deep roots in different parts of Brazil, making me a unique blend of traditions and customs. But my journey doesn't stop there.

For years, I was a scout, learning essential skills and developing a strong sense of community. Currently, I work as a nephrology specialist, helping to save lives on a kidney transplant team. And that's not all: I also have a master's degree in Bioethics and have been teaching at a medical school for two years.

Although I was previously married, I am now single and without children. And while my spiritual journey was once marked by a firm atheist stance, I have recently been exploring new territories, opening my mind to the possibility of a more complex and mysterious world. As a result, I find myself floating between skepticism and spirituality, in search of a deeper truth.

With all of this in mind, I am excited to embark on new adventures, meet fascinating people, and discover everything the world has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm eager to meet fellow travelers who can bring news from far-off corners of the world and share their inspiring stories. There's something truly magical about hearing firsthand accounts of people's adventures and experiences. By connecting with others and learning about their journeys, I hope to expand my own horizons and gain a fresh perspective on life. Whether it's tales of overcoming challenges, discovering hidden gems, or simply experiencing new cultures and ways of life, I'm always eager to listen and learn. So if you're a fellow explorer with a story to share, don't hesitate to reach out!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a passion for literature in Portuguese, and some of my favorite authors include José Saramago, Valter Hugo Mãe, Machado de Assis, Clarice Lispector, Mia Couto, and António Lobo Antunes. These authors have left a deep impression on me, but my recent readings have expanded beyond the Portuguese language.

In particular, the powerful poems of Wisława Szymborska and the captivating short stories of Jorge Luis Borges, such as "The Immortals" and "The Aleph," have left me in awe.

In the upcoming months, I plan to devote more time to reading and discovering new authors and genres. I welcome any suggestions for books that have left an impact on you or changed your perspective on life.

Countries I’ve Visited
