About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Save the world, one mouse at a time

ABOUT ME

Brazilian, Carioca (it means born in Rio de Janeiro) and now travelling around Europe.

I am an average guy with a curiosity that requires at least 70 reincarnations to fufill. I love to dance and to listen to good music, but not loud places, I prefer places where I can enjoy both: music, dancing and people; that´s why I love ballrooms and traditional dances.

Books are an addiction to me, I´m always reading something and it´s very hard to me get in a bookstore and leave without anything. That´s why I usually don´t take money with me when I go to a bookstore.

Other of my passions are animals and animal training. During the college I used to train dogs to pay the college and animals have the power to bring me back to childhood. Yes, I know that I look stupid close to them, but I can´t help it.

I had many jobs in my life like: Graphic designer, Currier, Computing teacher, help desk, call center technician, bartender, waiter, store salesman, climbing instructor, car washer, constructor worker and the list goes on. I did graduate in Psychology and worked as psychoterapist for 6 years and than decided to change to a scientific area, so I came to europe to take my Master Graduation in Psychobiology. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to continue my studies doing a PhD in Neuroscience, and that is where I am right now.

Now I´m working in a Laboratory in Oslo/Norway and using the free time to know people and places.

Oh yeah! I hate papaya and Olives, so whenever I have them, I give them away to people.

PHILOSOPHY

I consider myself an socio-neodawinist-hedo-pancratic. This means that I believe in meritocracy, if you do right (what works) you deserve a better life. I also believe that moral is a necessary but flexible thing, it is defined by a social contract that you stablish with your peers and if you change your environment, new standards must be defined in order to have a peacefull and happy life.
That also means that we were born with only one criteria to know if the things are right in life, the feeling of happiness and pleasure. That´s the hedonist component of my personal philosophy. We live to be happy, every time of ourlives.
And also means that life is better in community. To be surrounded by friends and nice persons makes our lives complete and Share happyness is part of what make use happy.
