Hi there, Im Guus. It's a very Dutch name, most internationals call me Goose. I’m currently studying, in my weeks off I like to travel and explore. I have always been very curious and keen to learn, so studying and traveling fits me very well.

My cs at the moment:
I am very open to meeting new people and love to hear people’s stories. This is why couch surfing attracts me so much. Since I'm studying at the moment and life can get somewhat slow and uninterested I like to invite the Traveling vibe into my home when I cannot travel myself. Bringing the adventure home you might say.

Me as a host:
As a host I'm open to hang out but I also enjoy my time alone. I love to show you some of my favorite places and go on some adventures together. I get along with people easily and I'm naturally curious. I appreciate open and clear communication since I like to know what to expect and count on. My Dutch directness does help with achieving that.
Most importantly I like to offer a save space especially to fellow queer people or woman for whome traveling and couch surfing can feel somewhat intimidating.

Me as a traveler:
When I’m visiting a new place, I’m always interested in history and culture. I love to wonder around a new city without any direction. That is if I have had my coffee. Otherwise, I will use google maps to find me the nearest café. Expressionist art is amazing to me, I will spend 5 hours in a museum just staring at paintings. I’m not a crazy night live person but I won’t say no to seeing a live band.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on couch surfing since traveling to me means getting to know new places and no other than a local can introduce me to a new place better. Furthermore, I love meeting new people especially travelers because of their open minded and curious nature. And it allows me to invite the Traveling vibe home when my life is just slow and same old ritme at home.
