About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Working in our bio-organic farm and healing center, inner journeys, making music for my youtube videos

ABOUT ME

I have been vegan since 1985 and doing yoga since 1979. I originally did chip design in the UK and Silicon Valley for 23 years, then I was doing Thai massage and teaching yoga there. I love creative projects, like building the Healing Center, painting, composing music, doing videos, website design, and hanging out with crystals. I teach all types of energy work, you can see on my website www.lannayoga.com

PHILOSOPHY

Advaita vedanta, active meditation, being present, clearing blocked energy and old programs slowly through my daily practice of yoga and Tibetan chi gong. Living a simple life, eating once a day, doing physical work in my land and www.lannayoga.com Healing Center. I host music and dance events at the Healing Center, we often have drumming circles and play music. I compose music for my videos, both from my travels and from the events at the center. You can see my videos by searching for my username yogabeatguy on youtube.com.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Talk to friends, raise awareness. I find many travellers interested in their spiritual journey tend to pass through Chiang Mai. It is a joy to connect and share ideas and experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done this informally with friends coming to Chiang Mai over the years, but CS has enabled me to meet amazing people who are on their spiritual journeys. I have had many great CS experiences since I joined! I feel blessed to have met the people I have been hosted by, and who have stayed with me.

Interests

I love to travel and have been doing so actively since 1996. I was ordained a monk at Wat Taam Tong, near Chiang Mai, in April 2010 for one month, although I am not formally a Buddhist. I like the philosophy of non-duality (advaita vedanta), and I live pretty much like an anarchic monk anyway :).

Music, Movies, and Books

All life positive music, I love drumming and dancing. World music, tribal, trance states. Philosophy, old books found on project Gutenberg. Ancient wisdom re-appearing to help us reconnect with our true nature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a very powerful vision of falling through space when I was laying in the sarcophagus in the Kings Chamber of the Great Pyramid. Gaza, Egypt in 1999, while our group was toning in resonance with the Kings Chamber (it was built to resonate with F#).

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach all kinds of energy work (chi gong, crystals, craniosacral, reiki, intuitive healing etc.), and consciousness. Happy to share with others in the community.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Cambodia, China, Costa Rica, Egypt, Greece, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Singapore, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
