About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life and everything it brings... or doesn't :)

ABOUT ME

Chilled out, like to hear about where others are coming from, what they have done, where they're heading and generally like to have a good laugh with good peeps...

enjoy playful banter over a couple of wines (or beers, or both, preferably with shots to follow)...

definitely enjoy a bit of partying too...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Been off the CS grid for a while...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met up with some CSers in Whistler, where I lived on and off for around 5 years. I met a lot of like-minded CSers on my travels in Mexico and Central America. I spent a couple of months back in Whistler after my travels, but moved to Fernie for a bit of a change and found myself living here for 5 years.

Interests

Outdoor activities, anything involving a bit of competition... anything that will make me push myself... snowboarding, skiing, sledding, volleyball (mostly beach), tennis...

love social sports coupled with drinking... pool, frolf...

people, music & partying...

frisbee, juggling, headstands & ridicule - I like to give it but also don't mind being on the receiving end of it - ridicule that is...

putting 3 periods at the end of a phrase...

  • cooking
  • beer
  • drinking
  • juggling
  • music
  • outdoor activities
  • camping
  • skiing
  • snowboarding
  • sports
  • tennis
  • volleyball
  • swimming
  • beaches

Music, Movies, and Books

there's too much to mention here to truly represent my interests so let's just say i love live music, i listen to different genres based on mood and activities and open to new music...

netflix has altered by opinion on movies... even terrible movies can be great!

books - read a lot of books in my lifetime, a big fan of reading, but haven't read a lot of new books in the last few years... usually punish books travelling because there is so much time...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being left in the backcountry unsupervised and unqualified with a buddy, a snowmobile each and 2-3 feet of fresh untouched powder :)

tandem skydiving (beach landing on the Sunshine Coast in Australia and also somewhere near Montreal), although being qualified to do it by myself would be exponentially more enjoyable...

swimming with over 23 dolphins (we lost count after that) in the ocean between dives on Utila

camping on an island in the middle of a river in belize for a week with a buddy, or by myself when he was in hospital for 3 days, drinking from the river, cooking on an open fire and bathing in a natural jacuzzi formed by the rocks in the river

drinking cave water and eating only fruit that we poached from a nearby orchard

crossed a border with a pet gallina (hen) on a leash, guatemala to el salvador, the we ate it with out new-found friends, including a vegetarian...
