About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To keep on bumbling my way across the planet

ABOUT ME

Fairly regular mover around the UK but now for the first time in a while I've ventured further afield. I'm a medical doctor by training and I consider myself a pretty laid back individual who's always willing to try anything new. I started a 6 month public health fellowship in George, Western Cape in September which alongside providing facinating insight into South African healthcare has also allowed me to finally spend a proper amount of time learning to surf whilst escapingthe British winter. For that, I will forever be grateful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I passed through the US in 2012, couchsurfing my way across and it provided a trip that far exceeded all expectations. Throughout all hosts were absolutely delightful and each and everyone facilitated experiences within their city that I could never have had outside of the couchsurfing community.

Since then I had a year of hosting in Torquay before having a few years with less activity but hoping to reboot that now. All my experiences have been great and have helped consoidate a belief in the general reasonableness of humanity.

Interests

I generally like to get out and do stuff with my day but I´m also surprisingly good at just sitting for hours staring into space or reading a book. I enjoy anything outdoorsy and things that take me by surprise be it a view, a film or some really good food. I will also willingly travel the earth in search of sporting events, of any discipline and skill level.
