About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Thinking I'm getting pretty close to to another long venture out into the world...

ABOUT ME

Im a 29 year old guy traveling around trying to see the world. I live in New York City (for 11 years now), and I work mostly out of New Orleans , LA. I have family all over and have basically seen all I can see in America. My father recently passed and that has sparked a wanderlust in me to which has no end in sight. In 2010 I have: Been IN the MardiGras Parade, spend the night in Chicago jail, Gone to Dublin for St Pattys Day, Spent a week in the Dominican Republic, with some friends this summer, and am currently running around Australia for a month, seeing all there is to see.

Okay now I'm 30.

Nearing 31 even.

Yup. I turned 31. This is kinda fun, logging time like this.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what you think's right, and you will feel alright
'Cuz when you're bad you will feel sad
That's the religion I live by.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

**At this juncture, I find myself living alone, in a 950 square foot (yeah square FOOTAGE, take THAT metric system :) apartment in Midtown Manhattan, plus one fat cat. I have too much open space and hate living alone. I have just accepted every request that has come through these past three weeks and its been awesome, I'm like a changed man - like I realize now I really enjoy meeting new people and I have been going out more and just having a better time - who knew this could be therapeutic!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

hosted some nice girls from Russia and stayed with them when my and my ex traveled there... stayed with some people in Melbourne, had a great experience. Home for the foreseeable future and want to offer up my couch to as many people as possible, rack up some karmatic points for the next go around.

Interests

Gaming, video or real life. I have a cat that I love and I went to art school for graphic design. I enjoy drawing and painting mostly.

(2012) Recently a friend described me as "a man who loves only three things in this world: Baseball, Magic: the Gathering, and Whiskey." In retrospect, he left my cat off the list, but pretty much nailed me.

I listen to a lot of music, go to a lot of concerts, and watch a lot of movies too. So theres that.

Music, Movies, and Books

Far too many to list... I like a lot of sci fi in literature, and Ayn Rand for philosopher sake. Films I usually enjoy comedy, and my musical tastes are WIDE. At almost every point in my childhood years I met someone who liked some music i hated, but after observing their passion and love of it on a firsthand basis, I generally end up enamored with whatever they are into, for at least a short period.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done and seen SO much in this life and I'm not even thirty yet... I have been all over America, for work and pleasure, I have spend nights in jail for stupid drunken accidents, I attended one of the BEST art institutes in the world (Pratt) , I have lived in poverty and in some of the nicest surroundings I could imagine. My life feels like a Frank Sinatra song. :)

Do it. Just do it. for all the same reasons that drive us to even travel and explore in the first place, just use this site. it is amazing. Trust people on here, ESPECIALLY if you don't have an easy time trusting people. I have found like 90% coolness and hangout-ability rates. And don't be a dick. If this site starts getting populated by crappy people it won't work anymore, don't be that guy. And if you only crash and never host, try hosting. It can be awesome - Supremely awesome.
