About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be more creative and live fully. Lucky summer is approaching.

ABOUT ME

Born in Cape Town 1962. Glorious childhood in Cape Town. Moved to Johannesburg in 1984 and lived between CT and JHB (also lived on a farm in the eastern Cape) until I moved to London in 2002. Began a whole new life here, managing to get on TV within 6 months - twice. Taught English (ESOL) at Tower Hamlets College. Left to travel Mexico, India and South Africa. Returned 3 years later back to teaching. Since 2012 I have been to Greece for 2 months and working at the British Library. Recently went to Dublin to meet long lost cousins and going back in June 2015.

PHILOSOPHY

Keep it simple and help others

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My first guests to London were David and Carolina who spent a few days at mine before moving to a house share. What a great couple. They are now personal friends. Since then I hosted a few people at my home in Kennington during 2011. Took a break for a couple of years and have just recently started hosting again. See photos.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with one guy in Greece and that's my only experience.

Interests

Varied, I like reading, social justice, acceptance, money things can't buy and a whole lot of free expression to explore what it means to be alive. I am a Jack rather than a Master but enjoy people and introducing people to other people. Learning socially acceptable behaviour all the time. Spontaneous, impulsive and guarded. I care.
