ABOUT ME

Tall, blonde and gangly. Love ice hockey, rock climbing and camping and anything with my brothers. LOVE Chinese, Finnish and Russian and the people and their respective countries. Now I share these loves and many more with my beautiful wife!

PHILOSOPHY

Goals drive me to become better and to become the best me I can be. Setting goals is not enough. You must write them, focus on them and be accountable to someone for your goals. When you are so focused on your goals that it drives your mind and actions during the day and controls your dreams in the night, especially to the point of not being able to sleep, then you can know without a doubt that you will accomplish your goals. And that's what I strive for.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have surfed north of the arctic circle in Mother Russia which was a blast and recently with an Egyptian in Yiwu, China which was fantastic as well.

North of the Arctic Circle in Russia. Beautiful. Cold...but I still wore shorts.
In Yiwu, China, in the sweltering heat and humidity...also in shorts :)

Interests

Anything and everything outdoors, namely:
Rock climbing, ice skating, hiking, biking, snowboarding, and especially camping.
Also love most sports, namely: Hockey, Soccer, Volleyball, Badminton, Ping-pong, Murder-ball, hackysack.

Movies:
Disney all the way. Particularly Tangled, Emperor's New Groove, Mulan Robin Hood and Mary Popins. Other great ones include Midnight in Paris, A Knight's Tale and Italian Job.

Books:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing sights I have ever seen was the view of some Indonesian islands from atop a live volcano some friends and I saw. Gorgeous.

But then again, I find some of the most amazing sites not far from my backyard, back in Utah!
