Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Adventurous, spontaneous, lifelong learner, currently a grad student at UVA enjoys helping others and exploring the outdoors
ABOUT ME
Currently snorkeling/diving around my 60th country visited, I love spontaneous adventures anywhere in the world. Winter of 2010/11 was spent exploring South America after spending Christmas in Antarctica. I have traveled on every continent, and I'm looking forward to meeting interesting people. I'm laid back, down to earth, adventurous, and love everything outdoors. From white water rafting in a hail storm on the Nile, to gorilla trekking in the Congo, to crocodile hunting deep in the Amazon, to cage diving with great whites off of Capetown, I love high energy, adrenaline activities but also love exploring museums, galleries, wine tastings, and like meeting people from all backgrounds and cultures.
PHILOSOPHY
I hope to accomplish a goal oriented program, but would like to take the next month to travel before embarking on the next big project. I try to live life to the fullest and have a work hard/play hard mentality but have had a difficult year.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I lived in Charlottesville, VA, I was able to host people at my dwelling if they had an air mattress.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've crashed on plenty of friends couches but I know them so this is unique to me. I consider myself an exceptional house guest and compensate either by cleaning or doing some sort of project. I've been very blessed with wonderful friends, so it is the least I can do. I've had the most amazing couchsurfing experiences thus far. I feel I've been very lucky with each situation.
Centres d'intérêt
I am willing to try anything once in this lifetime and have had the opportunity to do many incredible things. Hiking, biking, climbing, scuba diving, kayaking, sailing, golfing, tennis, camping, traveling, and cooking:)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I love the classics, both in literature and movies. I also love psychological thrillers and suspenseful dramas.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I created a free after school program in 7 elementary schools for 150 children
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
as a grad student I should be able to discuss topics as far ranging as Stephen Hawking's Darwinian theory of evolution relating to quantum mechanics to single vessel learning, but I only got a 3.7 last semester so the single vessel learning theory is a little foggy; I can cook almost anything besides veal; I've been told I make the best grilled cheese, pancakes, martini's and baked chicken...not necessarily in that order
