ABOUT ME

Recently finished university and moved to the UK (Cheltenham specifically) to sort out my dual citizenship, but I may be here for up to a year if all goes well. Hopefully I'll be starting the Peace Corps July 2012, but in the meantime I spend as much time outdoors as I can, mostly hiking, but I also love rock climbing and all things relating to water.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend and former Peace Corps volunteer frequently hosted people while living in Ethiopia and it was through him that I first heard about CouchSurfing and since then it has been something that I've always admired and looked forward to the opportunity to become a part of the CS community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While living in Ethiopia I met and 80 something yr old former Wall Street Lawyer that was travelling alone all over the world (he'd been to Antartica twice and at the time I met him was working his way up the continent of Africa with no destination in mind). I spent a few days with him and one morning asked what was driving him to do what he was doing and his response was "To travel is to live, it is our responsibility as human beings to understand the world we live in and the only way that can be done is to get right in the deep of things".
