Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
not to take myself too seriously
ABOUT ME
Generally positive and open-minded, interested in people, sometimes lazy, I love to laugh, am easily entertained by wandering around a new city, and don't like to deny myself a beer at the end of the day.
I grew up in the US but have spent the past 10 years travelling, living, studying, and working in Europe, Asia, Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. If anything I love travelling more now than in the beginning, though my approach and what fascinates me has changed hugely! I like to take my time, take it easy, and really get a feel for where I am. After 3.5 years in Zürich, Switzerland I have just returned to live in New York City.
PHILOSOPHY
Everything in moderation, including moderation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love the concept of couchsurfing and lived for a long time in a shared flat with its own pofile, Living Space Albulatorium, so I hosted and surfed through that. However, I've recently moved out so am starting over on my own!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A lot of hosting in Zürich (through Living Space Albulatorium) and surfing in Hungary and the Ukraine, all of it positive!!

Music, Movies, and Books
I adore music, from folk to electronic to rock to jazz to punk to classical, and more than anything love being introduced to anything new.
I tend to switch off movies around halfway through, but some of the ones I've made it through are The Life Aquatic, Into the Wild, Naked Lunch, The Big Lebowski, in fact anything with Jeff Bridges, and Little Miss Sunshine.
A good book is priceless, but unfortunately I haven't read much that doesn't have to do with politics or international relations in the past couple years.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
15 months travelling through Africa on a motorbike
Teach, Learn, Share
