ABOUT ME
Basically I am increasingly 'excited' about one day moving to a small town and enjoying a slow pace of life, however for the time being I seem to find myself ridiculously busy in my need to go everywhere and learn everything. I enjoy staying out or staying in till ungodly hours in the company of good friends.
PHILOSOPHY
Do everything now! Don't sell yourself short.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So I have officially couch hosted & surfed a few times so far! It's been awhile, but I'm headed back on the road, so hoping to meet some new folks.
Interests
The current thing I'm doing with my life is learning about/doing natural building. also trying to be an "artist"? Spent time in UT, now working back in Asheville where I went to school. my background is in science and chemistry, with a nice dash of environmental consciousness thrown into the mix. Cities are fun but I need the occasional dose of forests and bucolic countrysides. mostly i try to dabble in lots of things, especially painting, recently writing. also, reading, politics, music, running, dancing...

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a sucker for It's a Wonderful Life. I really enjoy movies.
I'm always down for a fellow music lover, whether its some good scuzzy garage rock, folksy or bluesy country, some loud n excitin punk or just a groovy dance beat.
Reading is great, I try to do as much as I can, both for learning and for fun fiction entertainment.
Malcolm Lowry is my favorite author. he is a genuis. he wrote Under the Volcano, which is insanely good, and all his other stuff is also fascinating.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Took a few months off to travel Europe in spring 2012 Words fail to explain what an eye opening and excellent experience that was.
The Appalachian mountains are also probably the place i want to call home, eventually.
Everyone should visit utah in their life. seeing the landscape there totally changed my conception of what 'place' means. mind blown.
Teach, Learn, Share
I will definitely recommended music to you, if you want. I will probably also bring up/have a long discussion with you about construction/natural building & environmental science, because they're cool.
