ABOUT ME

I am a traveler. Professional gypsy. No particular set of plans, just a little book of places I would love to check out and a big imagination for what the next city/town/village holds for me. Plus a bottomless ambition to see the whole world. I know it's a big planet, but quantum physicists say that time doesn't exist and space is an illusion. I find endless inspiration in this existence and express some of it through writing. You can find these stories and travel tips on www.FollowtheGypsy.net .
I am madly in love with nature, sunrises, languages, movement of many forms, singing, dancing, basically re-learning how to be a child, our truest state.

PHILOSOPHY

Live in love. And if you want something, go for it, uninhibitedly.
A newer philosophy is going with the flow of things. I had no idea situations could turn out so perfectly when you simply stop desiring a perfect turn out. Sometimes it's as easy and sticking out your thumb on the side of the road...

I look forward to meeting a diverse medley of fellow couch surfering humans. And I can't wait to host when I root down in a conscious community that I shall call hOMe!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far CouchSurfing has been awesome. It has been a great way to meet real people instead of just meeting other tourists. Funny, I have been meeting and staying with more couchsurfers through chance than the website, so I don't have an accurate number of references.

Interests

I love the outdoors, hiking, bouldering (rock climbing), yoga (practicing and teaching), cooking/eating vegetarian/vegan food, laughing, languages, martial arts, colorful toenails, making lists of strange things, vegetables, and going with my gut feelings. And dancing (hip hop, salsa, modern, ballet, Middle Eastern, African, etc), which would inevitably mean music-- I looove playing jembe and tambourine and have found myself in the most interesting situations through this love of jamming during my travels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing? Are you kidding, CS?
I think I will categorize (did I mentioned my love of lists?)
Nature: The breathtaking lake strewn trails of Sweden, lined with blueberries, hopping with frogs, spotted in mushrooms.
Village: A sunny tiny Italian castle town neighboring Lago di Bracciano, filled with oooold apartments, smelling of jasmine and mint, hiding cats and old ladies in the nooks and crannies of cobblestone alleys and passageways.
Community: Landbouwbelang in Maastricht, Nederland. An abandoned factory filled with musicians, artists, an old scientist, a fashion designer, an economist, just beautiful people in an incredible building with a self-built cafe, music studio, sauna... I could go on for a while. Google it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach a fusion of different yoga disciplines, basically structured around what the student needs. I would love to teach my hosts! Pro hair dresser. Amateur vegetable fermentor. I adore different languages and can't wait to be submerged in them.
