About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Travel The World As a Gypsy And Hobo - I make my dreams come true by sheer determination, persistence, and passion.

ABOUT ME

I'm a Gypsy Hobo at heart. I was born in Vietnam and grew up in California so I am Vietnamese American. I have not lived in the US for over 15 years.

My passion in life is travelling. I quit my job 11 years ago to pursue a travelling boating lifestyle on a 33 1/2 ft catamaran and sailed from Florida all the way down to Grenada. Broke up, worked as a bartender in St Marten and dated another boater for 3.5 years. Broke up again. I was boatless for 3 years, but luckily I had to sail all the way to Australia to find a wonderful partner who was brave enough to take me on AND owned a sailboat and could go sailing with me overseas. We sailed from Australia to Indonesia and ended up in Philippines. We broke up and now I am back on land in Turkey in magical Cappadocia where the ENERGY is powerful and intense!! I am a total novice on land, walking on human legs and no longer swimming as a mermaid is both exhilarating and exciting. I forgot what it was to be on land around normal people!!! If I was weird and strange before at sea, now I am a Selkie trying to fight the system!

My friends and family describe me as unique, free-spirited, liberated, adventurous, funny, A WHOLE LOTTA crazy, and HAPPY. And I talk ALOT!!!

PHILOSOPHY

Dare to be DIFFERENT from everyone else. Make life as happiest as you can by laughing hard everyday and sharing that laughter with people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a verified member and have converted a few friends into couchsurfing and hope to convert more people to this great way of travelling and meeting new people from all over the world. I am happy to finally be able to host guests on my partner’s boat in the Philippines. Unfortunately, with the pandemic and boat repairs, that stopped. I love to meet people to make a genuine connection with talking, laughing, eating, sharing - so surfing is perfect for me. I just love the community of like minded people that I am lucky to meet and spend time with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

AWESOME. So far no attempts on my life and body! hahah

Interests

I love to travel, read, sleep, eat, drink, meeting new people, talking, dancing, laughing, and experiencing new cultures. I LIVE and BREATHE to travel - nothing is more important to me except my family.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living on a boat for the last 11 years and cruising the Caribbean and then on from Cuba, Jamaica, Panama, Europe, an Atlantic Delivery & FINALLY The South Pacific!!! This amazing lifestyle has afforded me a richness and depth to life that I never thought existed. A simplicity of lifestyle that has changed my world view and has made me a better person. Too many things to list and many more awesome things keep happening!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach someone about the boating/cruising lifestyle as I have lived on a boat for the last 11 years (occasionally I live on land to work). I can teach someone about giving up everything in your life to pursue/achieve your dreams. I am open to learning about almost anything that someone has to teach me if it is taught with an open mind and respect. Sharing laughter is the best way to teach and to learn.
