HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this network, and would like to use it to connect with contacts for my travels, and open my space to those visiting the finger lakes in upstate New York. How inspirational to be apart of a project building a travelers community! For now, I have room to accommodate fellow souls on a journey. And on my own journey, I look forward to meeting whom ever crosses my path.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

in the time between living out of my car and later upgrading to acquiring a 79' Dodge camper while living in southern california, I found myself surfing the garage of the "Pirate Queen" of Venice Beach. Accommodations were shared with 5 others- 3 couches between us. Although a little cramped, and at first unaccustomed to waking to a foot in my face, I was so grateful to have an adopted family of some of the most interesting people I had ever met. The experience was one of many that aided in the teaching of 'adaptation', emphasizing the importance of working with the moment, and expecting the unexpected.
