Knowing me means meeting you, hanging out, and building trust. I like kind people and I am one. I will host and be nice, but platonic, share and share alike, is house policy. Please and thank you, manners are a must for house guests.
Bring your own towel, hitchhiking the galaxy does not mean I will share everything I have, but I will be attentive to your needs.
You can get showers and the like from my house but paying for hot water through donation is appreciated.
Hydro costs power, and if you need to sleep in a VW van, the cost of your night 3$ Canadian.
I am available to you, for tour guiding and real BC experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My accommodations are my participation. You are my house guest and I want you to feel welcome. Guests stays are limited to one week. Trading skills like gardening, welding, vehicle mechanics, always welcome for extended stays.

My goal is to rent my VW vans out, to people whom adventuring the island in a van might be interesting. I am offering this opportunity on a sliding scale, trying to make West Coast Vacations fabulous.

So far figures at about 80$ for a kyak, van, boogie boards, inner tubes and all your camping gear needs, is top dollar. Make me a reasonable offer, and I will rent to you, so you can see more and stay dry in Wet Coast Weather.

Stays on the property, with tents or in vans are subject to minimal costs, associated with things you might want help doing. Like tour guided explorations, kyak lessons, going up to Lake Cowichan for a day of tubing, etc. Gas is expensive but split between many people the costs come down. Most VW vans fit 5 people, with variations in sleeping quarters.

I expect to be very operational this summer. This is written here to offer you the opportunity to check in with me early about possible rental.

I can be of help directing you to the best areas,skiing/snowboarding/ House concerts, and old growth forests, are a few things to do here.

Vancouver Island has loads to see and do, come visit and I will help you have the vacation of your dreams.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have brought 6 people into my space so far. Two have stayed in Vans and progressed on to other destinations within a week. One couple took a van for 10 days, in exchange for pictures and some other barter n trade knick knacks. I would love to host you.

artistic, real and honest people very warmly received.
Here at my house I have a welder, but I need someone who can weld floor boards on one of my VW vans. I can be very accomodateable to someone with this skill.
I am able to take you in the forest and show you around, I know stuff.
I can take you to the beach, dig clams and get oysters.
We can take the kyaks out and hit the water with a fishing rod or crab net.
Looking to have educational exchanges.

Roofer who can sheet metal can stay as long as they want exchange for labour. Specifically looking to install metal roofing, will provide van, food and accomodational fun for someone with the right know how. Supplies will be purchased to collabrative vacation/work package.

Diggers and Gardeners wanted, allways.... willng to trade for physical help, a meal, some rice and nuts, whatever, I share. What do you have to barter and trade your way into a great exchange?????
