Like everyone reading this I am an adventurer and lover of travel and discovery.

I am passionate about healthy living, which includes physical and mental exercise and consuming clean organic food. I am a Chartered Herbalist and I respect nature and plants. (Tree hugger:) Living a minimalist life is increasingly important to me and I want to experience more in life, while at the same time getting rid of material excess.
I am an experienced CELTA-certified ESL teacher and hope to someday move to a European country where I can teach English♥️

Nothing pleases me more than having a long conversation on practically any topic.
I haven’t traveled to a great number of countries but I have crossed the Atlantic ocean on trips almost 20 times, so I've logged in a lot of travel kms!!! ✈️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I alluded to in my “about me” I want to meet and get to know some local people when I travel. I am open-minded and love and respect people. I can hold my own on almost any topic and love to engage people. So I think couchsurfing is a great way to extend a travel budget and accomplish my goal of meeting people in my travels!

Music, Movies, and Books

Eclectic, varied tastes but favourites are Classical music (Chopin's Nocturnes being my indefatigable favourites.) Jazz in the style of French influence (Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli...) Tommy Emmanuel, Brazilian music.

I prefer documentaries, mostly historical factual accounts. Some movies I like are Metropolis, The Lord of the Ring, Equilibrium, La Belle Vie...many...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made a snap, spur-of-the-moment decision to go to Reykjavik, Iceland alone. Did it and it changed my life.

Capsized my canoe in the middle of Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. Nearly didn't make it back to shore. Being in imminent danger and living to tell about it is actually an amazing experience!😎
