About Me
READ THIS BEFORE SENDING A REQUEST
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
a) Please, READ MY WHOLE PROFILE CAREFULLY, specially the lines below. NOT READING MY PROFILE LEADS VERY LIKELY TO NOT GETTING EVEN AN ANSWER FROM ME.
b) Remember: being hosted is not a right, but a privilege. Is not the host who has to adapt to the CSurfer, but the other way round.
c) Don´t send a couch request if you´re not sure that you´ll show up, and if your plans change on the road, let me know that you´ll not show up as soon as possible, because you´re depriving other CSers of being hosted. You wouldn´t like your confirmed host not showing up when you arrive at his town, right? So... if you´re not sure about your plans, don´t send requests in advance, and take the risk of requesting the day before your arrival or posting your request in the Donostia - San Sebastián couch request group.
d) Please, send personal couch requests, not private messages.
MY PLACE, MY RULES
The apartment is located in The Old Town neighborhood, few minuts walk to La concha and Zurriola surfing beach so you will not need to use public transport.
I dont live alone, I have my own room, where I have my workstation. There´s a living room where probably you can sleep or in my bedroom in separated beds
2 - 3 nights is a good stay time. I´m open to longer stays, but it´ll depend on how do we get along with each other.
Free WiFi.
No pets allowed.
Only for responsible and respectful people, no hard-party junkies or people who think my home is a hostel. If you are just looking for a free place to crash you better search elsewhere; if you´re willing to meet a local and share time, knowledge and experiences, you´re welcome.
I work on my own, at home, so I´m usually available to show people around, but sometimes I don't have time and will be available only at the end of the day.
If I´m not busy, I love spending time with guests, and if you fancy a night out, I´ll be probably in.
I´m generous, but don´t take it for granted. I´ve realized that some people take the whole arm when you offer your hand, and I don´t like it. You will have access to my fridge and you can help yourself, but this doesn´t mean that you will have free breakfast, lunch and dinner at my expenses every day, OK?
And please, show respect to my environment. Be tidy, wash the kitchen stuff after you use it and remember that I´m neither your mother nor your servant: it will not be a hard task for you letting let the bath mat in the same place you found it, hanging your towel or using some water to remove your hairs from the sink or the tub. It´s your host´s home, not a hostel.
I want to know something about you in advance, so requests with empty profiles or just two lines will be ignored. I´m more given to accept requests from travelers who offer their couch at home than from people who open their profile the day before they start their trip. Earning karma gives you karma, folks!
AND AFTER BEING HOSTED...
Please, leave a reference. This will be useful for other couchsurfers and for myself as well. References are a very important part of CS and make CSurfing safer.
Leaving a reference is a matter of respect, as well. Your hosts invest time on you and many times they get off their paths to show you around, help you with tickets, hostels, picking up & dropping off... Excuses like "I´m traveling and I don´t have time enough to write a reference" are not acceptable, specially when they come from people who travel with laptops or tablets and find time everyday to update their Facebook profile or skype with their friends and family.
