CURRENT MISSION
Explore the world on the cheap while forming lasting friendships
ABOUT ME
I tend to lose my backpack .... more than the average person. I will be afraid of doing something and then do it anyways. The best things in life are usually found down a back alley. Otherwise and I'm pretty easy to get along with and on occasion will try to make you laugh :)
PHILOSOPHY
Steve Jobs sums it up:
" You've got to find what you love and that is as true for work as it is for lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking and don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you've found it"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Before setting off on my round-the-world trip in January 2012, I met a few CS'ers in Boston, MA, USA where I was living) for coffee or a drink. Since then I have couchsurfed and hosted. I always love to meet locals and have them show me the best food places, or other travelers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Great so far with a few oddballs mixed in between.
Interests
travel above all, the meaning of happiness, food and cooking, photography ( love my dslr but am definitely an amateur), a good beer (and with that I don't mean bud light), a good movie, skiing, a lazy day on the beach, pumpkin flavored coffee (this might be weird for anyone not from New England), laughing and being silly, all while perfecting the art of the bucket shower ^^

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hope the most amazing thing I will have done is going to be leaving everything behind for this year long round the world trip.
One thing that was amazing to me was riding a pony through a snow storm in iceland
sleeping in the desert in India after a camel ride (fulfilled a bucket list point with that one ;)
bungee jumping in Chiang Mai and the following adrenaline rush that lasted a good four hours
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you "Der Flohwalzer" on the piano. I can also teach you how to make a great omelet and a delicious green smoothie. I can teach you German.
Also, I recently picked up a new skill: milking cows. I can teach you how to do that, you just have to supply the cow.
I want to learn to be a better horse back rider. And ideally a few snippets of other languages here and there.
