About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get back to traveling

ABOUT ME

I love to adventure and try to take the most from every experience I have. I love to laugh and make others laugh and my attitude on life generally revolves around good humour, good friends, good food and good conversation. I'm a pretty opinionated and passionate person but I like to think I take a pretty calm and centralist perspective when it comes to most things. I'm always up for a good conversation about anything ranging from art to politics but silence can also be golden...
Most nights I'm up for a night on the town but also like to relax in nature and am always happy to hang out in the less active area's of a city for something as simple as the view. I love music, photography, film, hiking, a variety of sports and cooking/eating amazing food to name a few of my passions, but there are many more I have and am open to trying.

PHILOSOPHY

A little bit of everything all the time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, it seams I have become a bit of a pasta preparing specialist for surfers and hosts alike. I usually just like share my love of having some great food and listening to great records with other couchsurfers and sharing some stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in 6 countries and loved every second of it. I can't even begin to write about all the amazing things I've seen and done because of couchsurfing, it's best I share those stories in person. My couch is always open when I can host.

Music, Movies, and Books

Artists I'm crazy about now and forever- Animal Collective, Lee Scratch Perry, Leonard Cohen, Clark, Aphex Twin, James Brown, Otis Redding, Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Radiohead, Talk Talk, Rolling Stones, Pixies, Nirvana, Breeders, Robert Johnson, Betty Harris, oh the list keeps on growing!Big jazz, blues and soul fan, prefer the stuff between 50's and 70's. Love to get down with some IDM, any music with a pulse will almost certainly get me dancing. Also big reggae, dub and dubstep fan; man I love music! Also big film fan, neo noir from the 70's 90's American cinema, Fellini, Cohen bro's, Coppola, Campion, Cassavettes, Tarkovsky, Kubric, Cronenberg you get the picture. I really like to read but I am definitely not as up to date on my fiction as I would like to be as I read mainly history and other non-fiction books. When I do read fiction it's usually by the following writers, Philip Roth, Graham Greene, Don Dellilo, Huruki Murikami, Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Cormac McCarthy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Would most definitely need a one on one to tell you about those things; way too many to list.
Highlights would probably include things like scuba diving in the red sea in Egypt, enjoying the sunset at a rooftop flamenco party in Sevilla, Hiking through the forests in Slovenia, white water rafting in Costa Rica, climbing mountains everywhere I go and every time I can, swimming in a number of different sea's, but mostly meeting so many interesting and incredible people!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know quite a bit about music, film, history and english, so anyone in need of some knowledge relating to those subjects will have a very talkative partner.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great cooking and entertaining stories accompanied by fine wine and an awesome music playlist, what more could you want from life?
