South of France, late at night, beach. We were three girls sitting on a blanket, all coughing, all with slight fevers (damn you, air conditioning), eating cheese and olives, drinking wine, enjoying the sea, looking at rats running around us and hunting for free food. We all had blisters on our feet making it impossible to walk properly. One gigantic blister popped and flooded the floor in the supermarket earlier that day while we were buying tomatoes.
