Über mich

Honest, inquisitive with sarcastic, dry and self-depreciating humour. I could put more but does anybody really know how to describe themselves?

Oh and I'm pretty handy so let me know if you have any computer, mechanical or electrical issues! I can't make the issues worse..!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I feel a bit rude not offering my accommodation out but I'm living with my parents without any spare rooms. I'm on Couchsurfing to find the kind of generous people who are willing to let a stranger stay in their home. With the exception of me not being able to offer my accommodation, we will have alot in common!

Interessen

I have put scuba diving here only because I want to try it... I've always been too scared! I will try it ASAP however.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Judging by how long I thought about this makes me want to do more amazing things! I've never done medical training but twice have paramedics told me I saved someones life.

First was when I was working at the biggest nightclub in Manchester, The Warehouse Project. A girl had collapsed in the smoking area after taking some kind of pills. I had seen how the security deal with this, but they weren't around. Thankfully she was light, so I carried her to the paramedic tent and put her in an ice bath. She made a full recovery after about an hour.

The second time was at Zipworld, the UK's longest zip line. It was about -5 degrees and incredibly windy and rainy, even for the UK. As I finished one run there was a man who had had a heart attack halfway down. With only one supervisor at the bottom who was radioing for the ambulances, I wrapped the man in my waterproof jacket and simply kept him calm and chilled. He'd had a heart attack before but not on the side of a mountain in gale force winds and rain! I couldn't do much else without any medical training but we had a good conversation about the mans bucketlist for about 20 minutes before the paramedics arrived. He pulled through and I can now go to Zipworld for free too!

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I much prefer learning than teaching but I suppose I do have some things I can teach! I'm not a master of anything but I know a little bit about most things I think! I can of course teach English, which I consider myself to be fairly good at. I hope there are no grammatical errors in my profile now..
