About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel my butt off, meet loads of people and eat delicious food.

ABOUT ME

I'm a creative person. My goal is to become an entrepreneur in the cooking/artisan/crafty person field. I always dreamed of traveling, but was kind of too scared to do it until I moved to Korea. Since I've been here, I think I've become a much better traveler and hope to continue on my journey toward awesome travelerness.

I am an explorative fun person looking for great people to be hospitable and friendly. Currently in a transitory/nomadic position on this planet, I am busy trying to figure out exactly what I want to be doing with myself.

PHILOSOPHY

One should leave any space in better condition than one found it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am meticulously clean, well organized and prompt. I am a great cook and always try to cook at least one meal for my hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I (and my ex) travelled in Europe for 4 months. We CSed with many people and had a wonderful time. Some of the countries we stayed with hosts were Croatia, Austria, Czech Rep., Germany, France and Belgium.
I have not been in a position to host yet, but when I am in a more stable place, I will be happy to start hosting.

Interests

Cooking, art, crafting, decorating, creating, card making, paper making, working/playing with animals of all sorts (especially ferrets), traveling, biking, exercise, food, beverages, fermented things, fibre arts, watching great movies, watching bad movies, games (even the board kind), singing, dancing, meeting people and so much more.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: There are too many. To name a few: Labyrinth, The Neverending Story, The Big Lebowski and Princess Mononoke

Music: At the moment, I'm really enjoying Gotye and Bon Iver. Queen, David Bowie and Michael Jackson are pretty great, too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked through a muddy jungle to see one of the world largest flowers, the rafflesia, in Malaysia. It's fleshy petals were like elephant skin. Weird and amazing.

Eating live octopus in Korea and camel in Mongolia.

Anything in Iceland is amazing, but I really enjoyed seeing the Geysir as well as Gullfoss, smelling the sulfurous boiling mud pots and tasting the traditional (and horrible) hákarl (a.k.a.- rotten shark). Quite an experience.

Also, getting lost while hiking in the Swiss Alps. We followed animal trails that had us crawling in mud and holding to tree roots for our dear lives. Finally, we made it off the mountain. Insane.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to experience as much travel as I can. Tell me where I should be going!
