About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be the change I want to see in the world

ABOUT ME

Basically, I call myself a lifelong learner who has enormous curiosity about the world and the PEOPLE as well as a planet citizen who is a strong environmental conservation advocator.

As a travel enthusiast, I’ve been to every corner of China so that i can give you good tips about travelling in Chengdu or in China. when i traveled the northwest of China four years ago, i did it under zero budget. i hitchhiked the whole Xinjiang province and worked in hostels as a casual labor in exchange of free accommodations.
As a caring person, i'm very compassionate and friendly.i live by the idea that giving is receiving.
As an experience-junkie, I like to explore the world as much as i can and get to know people from all kinds of cultures.

i'm very fun, a little quirky and can also be a geek. right now i'm a stay-at-home mom; learning MOOCs whenever "His Majesty" spare me from babysitting; volunteering as Regional Outreach Director for China in a nonprofit organization named One More Generation which is dedicated to the preservation of endangered animals and environment. currently I'm working with the Chengdu Roots&Shoots office to promote our plastic and recycling awareness curricular.

PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i just joined CS very recently started in Nov 2014 right before my trip to the States. i have received enormous help and love from lots of AWESOME people when i was travelling America. even though many of them were not CSers, i want to pay the world back in here. i strongly believe in CS which i think is a wonderful place to exchange cultures and foster friendship and compassion.

within such a short time, i've fortunately hosted people from four continents so far. i thank each of you who brought our home such a happy time and beautiful memories worth treasuring up for a lifetime.

DUE TO MULTIPLE REASONS, I WON'T BE ABLE TO HOST GUESTS DURING THIS JULY. SORRY.

Music, Movies, and Books

so many movies i love! the very favorite is Mary and Max
too many books i've read, more than 1000. it's hard to say which ones are my favorite. well, i guess i can say my main interests are psychology, philosophy and history.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

this july i took a MOOC -- Social Psychology at coursera.org provided by Wesleyan University which was registered by over 200,000 students from all over the world. in the last assignment, i won the 2014 Day of Compassion Award out of several thousand students and got paid to Atlanta to meet Dr. Jane Goodall who presented the award to me with professor Scott Plous! And one day after the meeting, i was invited by Dr. Jane to a lecture she gave to gradeschool kids at Zoo Atlanta where i even met Jane Fonda at the back stage!
